RECYCLED CONTENT

CLOSED LOOP PRODUCT

Closed loop products have been designed utilizing life cycle thinking and intelligent environmental considerations for recycling at the end of life, typically into the same or equal quality product.

CERTIFIED ENERGY SAVINGS

GreenCircle will certify your organization's claim for carbon footprint reduction based on a detailed analysis of your operations, energy consumption, energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy use, and greenhouse gas emissions.

PRODUCT OPTIMIZATION

GreenCircle will verify and certify claims that carbon (global warming potential) or life cycle impacts of products were reduced as a result of implemented changes to the product based on PCF or LCA data and implemented improvements.

LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT OPTIMIZED

GreenCircle verifies and certifies claims that life cycle impacts of products were reduced as a result of implemented changes to the product based on previous LCA data.

SUSTAINABLE ENERGY PRACTICES

GreenCircle will verify and certify claims that the product’s energy usage in the manufacturing stage was reduced or the renewable/carbon-free energy usage has increased as a result of implemented improvements.

HEALTH PRODUCT DECLARATION VERIFICATION

As an approved third-party verifier of HPDs by the Health Product Declaration Collaborative (HPDC), GreenCircle ensures that manufacturer’s HPDs were completed in accordance with the HPD Open Standard.

DECLARE LABEL VERIFICATION

GreenCircle is one of few verifiers of Declare labels approved by the International Living Futures Institute (ILFI). Declare verification provides manufacturers with the confidence that their Declare labels have been completed in accordance with the Declare Manufacturers guide through a review of ingredients, supply chain documentation, and label claims.

MANUFACTURER INVENTORY VERIFICATION

Manufacturer Inventories give manufacturers the freedom to develop a reporting document that aligns with mandatory regulatory chemical audit methodologies, while providing the same required information and verification rigor as other material ingredient reporting options.

Our Commitment

GreenCircle does not receive funding from any external affiliations or industry groups. Each client is charged a fee for service and certification is not guaranteed unless data requirements in the audit plan are met and analysis determines the claim can be certified.

GreenCircle investigates complaints and appeals in compliance with its Appeals, Complaints and Disputes Procedure. In the case of complaints against the actions of an GreenCircle client, the complainant should first attempt to resolve the issue with that client prior to requesting that GreenCircle become involved. In the case of appeals, the appellant must lodge its appeal with GreenCircle against any adverse decision taken by GreenCircle within thirty (30) calendar days after notification of the decision.

GreenCircle will not compromise the integrity and impartiality of our third-party auditing of sustainability claims. We document the sustainability achievement of a client in accordance with the GreenCircle specific Audit Plan and Certification Procedure, based on a certification audit in accordance with the GreenCircle Certification Scheme.
